New completed trophy cases

The trophies finally found their new home. Thursday afternoon Nov 5, Bob (Skinny) and Sandra Kellogg along with George Davis went to the bank basement, picked up all the trophies and took them to the City Hall.  Saturday morning, Nov 7 around 8:30 Jim and I took the rest of the trophies from our garage along with a lot of memorabilia and headed for Decatur. We met at 9:00 with Skinny, Jan Huffman, Ev Maslonka, Saranne Baker, Pam Nelson and MaryAnne Hightree.  Jim repaired some of the trophies while I cleaned the cases and everyone else got busy cleaning and polishing the trophies.  It was teamwork and what seemed to be a big job wasn’t so bad after all. We were very happy with the outcome as you can see in the pictures. A big thank-you to all of you who helped in every way.
We didn’t have room for the quilt so all of us who were working on Saturday decided to donate it to the Museum. They are going to have a classroom and it would be very fitting to hang it on the wall in that room.
We are still waiting for Roger to draw out the plans for our Composite Holder. I will keep you informed.
