From the May 30, 2010 reunion booklet

Significant Other:  Gordon Struble

Children:  Gary, LeAnna McKiddy, James, & Rebecca French

Grandchildren:  3 grandsons and 6 granddaughters and 3 1/2 great-grandchildren

After graduation I married and had three children, divorced and later married Clarence Brockway.  We had a daughter, which made us a family of 6!

I was a stay at home Mom until our youngest was in the 7th grade.  I went to work for Pleasant View Care Center in Whiting, IA as Activity Director.  That was  very rewarding work and I enjoyed the 28 years I was there.

I lost my husband to cancer in 2007 and retired in 2008.  In the past 2 1/2 years I have moved to a ranch between Homer and Winnebago.  I have enjoyed working with young children in pre-schools and day care.  I am now employed in the Homer School as assistant cook and feed close to 400 children a day.

On the ranch, Gordon Struble, my significant other, and I have 4 beautiful horses, 27 barn cats (13 of these came with the ranch) and one house cat, Mollie, plus 2 dogs, (one of these also came with the ranch).  Last year Gordon and I raised chickens for the freezer and that is something I'll try again after I retire.  We also raised a huge garden and that did well until we went on vacation.

We have named our home "The Seldom Rest Ranch" and it's true to its name.  There is always something to do.  I'm getting to do lots of things I've always wanted to do.

I still enjoy painting, quilting and, of course, cooking and baking.  We enjoy having friends and family to our home for out door cookouts or Sunday morning brunch.

Gordon will retire the 1st of March and we plan to take time out to travel.  There ae lots of places I want to see and thins I want to do.
