Grandchildren:  Allison, Ben, Shylee & Skylar, Julian & Leah; Hildigard and Caylie, Allyssa & Jarron

After I graduated from Decatur High School, I attended Wayne State College and received my BA in Education in 1965.  I also received my M.S. in Education at Wayne.  I taught for 30 years and retired in 2003.  The schools where I taught were in South Dakota, Washington, Texas and Nebraska.  Twenty-three were in Decatur.

After teaching a few years I married and stayed home to raise my three sons; Jeff, Joe and Jack.  I returned to teaching when Jack was 3 years old.

Emmett Hennig and I married 21 years ago and I gained 4 stepdaughters; Hope, Charity, Holly and Robin.

Following retirement I became involved with several civic organizations.

  My interests include gardening, taking classes and grandchildren!  I am looking forward to seeing all my former classmates!
