     As the student departs from Decatur High School he leaves behind a pattern of footprints representing his success, his disappointments, his pleasures, and his hardships.  The pattern of each student is significant and remains forever a part of the school.  Like footprints his experiences here leave upon his memory an indelible impression which he carries with him through life.
